SMS Consent & Opt-In

Consent, shown in
the user's own words.

The complete opt-in flow for Savvy text messages — the screen where consent is given, the exact language on it, and how we confirm the number belongs to the person holding the phone.

Effective: August 12, 2026 Last updated: August 12, 2026 Sabera Daqiq, DBA Savvy

Opt-in is active, never assumed Nothing is pre-selected — consent is a deliberate tap on a button labelled “Turn On Texts”, and we confirm the number belongs to you before sending anything.

The Program

Savvy operates one text-message program: Savvy Account Notifications & Benefit Reminders. It sends recurring reminders before card benefits and statement credits expire, a reminder the day before something you forwarded to Savvy lands (a free trial converting, a subscription renewing, a bill coming due, a return window or other deadline), plus confirmations tied to your own account activity.

  • Program name: Savvy Account Notifications & Benefit Reminders
  • Operated by: Sabera Daqiq, a sole proprietorship doing business as Savvy
  • Message frequency: varies; automated texts are capped at five per day. Typically a weekly update, plus a reminder when a credit is two days from expiring, plus one text the day before a forwarded trial, subscription, bill or deadline lands
  • Cost: Savvy does not charge for texts. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
  • Audience: existing, signed-in Savvy users who have opted in themselves

This page exists so anyone — a user, a carrier, or a reviewer — can see exactly how consent is collected, in the same words the user sees.

02

How You Opt In

Consent is collected in one place only: the Notification Settings screen inside the authenticated Savvy web app at heygrail.ai. It is never collected over the phone, in person, on paper, or from any purchased or third-party list. We never text a number we obtained from anywhere other than its own owner, inside their signed-in account.

Consent is given by tapping a button labelled “Turn On Texts”. The disclosure renders directly above that button and reads exactly: “By tapping Turn On Texts you agree to receive account & benefit-reminder texts from Savvy at this number. Consent isn’t a condition of use. Msg frequency varies; Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.” The tap itself is the affirmative act — nothing is pre-selected, and nothing can be submitted on your behalf. Texts stay off until you tap it.

Which steps you see depends on whether your mobile number was already verified when you created your account:

  • Step 1. You create a Savvy account and sign in.
  • Step 2. You open Notification Settings.
  • Step 3a. If your number was already verified at sign-up: that number is shown to you, the disclosure appears beneath it, and you tap Turn On Texts. Possession was already proven when the number was verified, so no further step is needed.
  • Step 3b. If it was not: you type your own mobile number, the disclosure appears above the button, and you tap Turn On Texts. You then confirm possession from the device itself before any message is sent — see below.
  • Step 4. Your consent is stored against your account with a timestamp.
03

The Exact Consent Language

This is the disclosure and the button as they appear on screen, reproduced verbatim. The disclosure always renders directly above the button it refers to, so the terms are visible before the tap that accepts them:

Notification settings · Savvy app
Mobile number

The tap itself is the consent — there is no separate step, and texts stay off until it happens. Consent is not required to create or use a Savvy account.

This wording is generated from a single constant in the Savvy application source (SMS_CONSENT_COPY), which is what the user is actually shown. If the wording on this page and the wording in the app ever differ, the app is authoritative and this page is corrected to match it.

04

Proving the Number Is Yours

Tapping the button is not enough on its own. Before Savvy sends a single message, the number must be proven to belong to you. If it was already verified when you created your account, that proof is what makes the one-tap path available. Otherwise you prove it from the device in your hand, by either:

  • texting START or VERIFY to the Savvy number from that device, or
  • entering a one-time code that we send to that number.

Savvy never sends reminders to a number that has not completed this step. This protects someone whose number is entered by mistake — or by anyone else.
